Copper Construction Co. is a residential general contractor based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, serving Denver, Golden, Lakewood, and Arvada. We specialize in home remodeling, custom renovations, detached garages, and new home construction.
We take a hands-on, detail-driven approach to every project — managing the entire construction process with clear communication, thoughtful planning, and high standards for craftsmanship. Our goal is to make the building process feel organized and collaborative while delivering spaces built to last.
Our Founder
Tyler Kakavas began his career in construction in 2000 and brings more than two decades of hands-on experience across all phases of residential construction. He has worked in a wide range of roles and previously served as an Assistant Superintendent with Richmond American Homes and John Laing Homes, where he gained extensive experience managing complex projects, coordinating trades, and maintaining high construction standards.
Tyler holds a Class C General Contractor License and is fully insured. Known for his attention to detail, organization, and practical problem-solving, he takes a hands-on approach to every project to ensure quality craftsmanship and clear communication throughout the build process.
A Colorado native, Tyler currently lives in the Applewood neighborhood, where he built his own custom home — bringing the same care and intentionality to his personal projects as he does for his clients.
